There are numerous activities to be enjoyed – from crown bowls, swimming in the local pool, sailing and the famous Turf Pub in the middle of the estuary which can be reached by ferry boat from Topsham Quay.
In the winter enjoy a bowl of hot soup by the fire in the cosy Globe Inn and in the warmer months have a drink sitting by the water watching the boats go by at the Lighter or Passage Inn.
Stroll along the Goat walk beyond the Dutch merchants houses on the Strand and enjoy watching the wildlife in the bird sanctuary.
Exeter Golf and Country Club is just a few minutes from the park and provides opportunities to play golf, tennis, squash, bridge, or enjoy a swim in the open and covered pools, or just get fit in the gym.
For keen gardeners, and we welcome you, all your wishes will come true when you visit the garden centre right next door, where you will find a huge range of plants and everything to do with your hobby. There is also an ALDI store adjacent to the park, so not far to go to do your daily shop.
For those looking to maintain or perhaps discover a more active lifestyle there are many walking and cycling routes that can be easily accessed from the park. This includes the popular Exe Estuary
Trail, which offers over 22 miles of dedicated pathways, following the estuary through pretty villages and scenic landscapes.
